From me, to you.
A little gift to my readers.
It's Thanksgiving week here in the US, and I'm gearing up for all of the turkey and pie. (I actually prefer ham and pie, but I digress ...)
This year, everyone is coming to us for the first time in forever. With the boys being so old and their schedules so crazy, we decided to stay home and invite whoever wanted to come to enjoy the meal and afternoon with us.
Guess I'll be cooking! 🧑🍳
My menu includes turkey (Mr. Locke and LL#3 are smoking a turkey for the first time—wish us luck! Ha!), ham, mashed potatoes, dressing, noodles, corn, green beans, cauliflower and broccoli salad, apple salad, and lots of desserts! We'll also do a cheeseball and cheese and fruit as snacks beforehand. Sounds so yum!
Last year at this time, I wrote a short story titled Crackle for an anthology. It went away in January and I've gotten so many requests for this since. While I was looking for it in my files, I found a few other holiday-inspired short stories and bonus scenes that I've penned over the years. I thought it would be fun (and efficient!) to put them all together in a (free!) holiday bundle for my sweet readers.
